Illinois Community College Opportunity Scholarship

This scholarship is for entering new students who transfer directly to the University of Iowa from an Illinois Community College within one year of earning an AA or AS degree. Minimum requirements: An associate degree from an Illinois community college AND a minimum 3.0 transfer GPA.

Renewal criteria: Students must maintain continuous full-time enrollment at the University of Iowa (fall and spring terms), continue to pay nonresident tuition, and maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative UI GPA.

The Illinois Community College Opportunity Scholarship is awarded automatically to eligible students upon admission. Recipients will be notified by the UI Office of Admissions separate from the Iowa Scholarship Portal.
