Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship

For new entering community college transfer students who have earned 30 semester hours at the time of the application, have maintained a minimum of 3.50 cumulative transfer GPA (on a 4.0 scale), and are current members of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society. Students who have earned a Bachelor’s degree or who are completing their degree through one of Iowa’s Distance Education or online programs are not eligible to be considered for this award.

Important deadline information:
New community college transfer students entering Spring 2024 must be admitted, submit the PTK scholarship application by December 1, 2023, and have met merit criteria in order to be placed in the PTK scholarship pool for consideration.
New community college transfer students entering Fall 2024 must be admitted, submit the PTK scholarship application by May 1, 2024, and have met merit criteria in order to be placed in the PTK scholarship pool for consideration. All transcripts must be received by the Office of Admission by July 1, 2024 to be considered for this award.

Renewable for a second year provided you maintain a minimum 2.75 cumulative UI GPA and continuous full-time enrollment (12 semester hours) at the University of Iowa each semester.
