National Merit/Provost Scholarship

This is a scholarship for new incoming first-year students named National Merit finalists who designate the University of Iowa as their first-choice institution. Eligible students are automatically awarded this scholarship when the National Merit Scholarship Corporation designates the student for a College-sponsored Merit Scholarship award.

Renewable for an additional three years or until you receive your bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first) provided you maintain continuous full-time enrollment at the University of Iowa each semester and continue to meet the academic renewal standards set by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
